Giant Azalea

May 6, 2014

Well folks – tonight we went out hiking in the rain and the dark just to get you all a picture of a blooming azalea! (Some clever person may tell us this is actually a rhododendron – never fear – we saw both. It was getting dark so we didn’t slow down for the full field study.)

We had a slovenly day – woke up at 9:30 for breakfast, crazy-wrong-side-of-the-road driving from Cork to Kilarney, and found a place to crash for the next three days…or maybe five…or more…oh…and fish and chips for dinner…and resisted buying sweaters…so the hike before bed was a welcome break from laziness!

Confusius say never ever resist buying a sweater, especially if it has colour and/or warmth. This is how God loves you. She made someone make it just for you.

Ahhh…a proper wooly sweater was purchased last night for the young lass who packed cotton. All is well and she thanks you for your faery blessings!
